It started inside a busy tattoo studio.
At Three Kings Tattoo, we work with self-employed artists who earn on commission. Clients pay by card, the studio takes its percentage, and the artist takes theirs.
Simple in theory.
Not so simple in practice.
When Three Kings first opened every card payment went into one business account. This meant:

It wasn’t just about time. It was about the pressure of getting it right, every single day and the real terms implications of all that money entering the business bank account.
We couldn’t find a payment provider built for studios that operate this way…
Now when a client pays: The studio receives its percentage and the artist receives theirs. Automatically.
SplitSum runs on top of Stripe using Stripe Connect, so payments are processed securely and routed to the correct accounts.
